The New Balance 550 was given a new lease of life by the collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore. Although this colorway was not part of the collaboration, it is still popular.
 
The upper of the silhouette is mainly made of leather. The heel is made of mesh and around the nose, there is an overlay made of suede. The main colorway of this pair is white. Almost the entire upper is white. On the overlay under the collar, the rubber border around the heel and the New Balance branding is a green colour. The green colour also returns on the tongue and on the outsole. The midsole does have a white colour.
