New Balance 9060 Sneakers and Trainers | The Drop Date

The New Balance 9060

Inspired by various models from the archive including the New Balance 860 and 880v2 models from the 2000s, and the 990s series, the New Balance 9060 is a popular 'Dad Shoe' model from the brand, with a 90's vibe appealing to both men and women.
It merges that retro chunky style with modern features, with hefty soles and engineered all-day comfort that can be combined with a number of different outfits, from casual to gym to something more formal.
The model first released in a 'Mindful Grey' colorway on 16 July 2022.

The New Balance 9060 Design

In comparison to some other New Balance models, the 9060 has a chunkier build, providing a comfortable fit without the need to size up. New Balance sneakers are designed with comfort in mind, so it's recommended to use wide lacing styles without loops in order to achieve the best look.
New Balance's proprietary cushioning technology, ABZORB, is used in the midsole of the 9060. A comfortable and supportive choice for everyday wear, ABZORB is known for its shock absorption and responsiveness. Solid rubber is used for its outsole. Because of this, the shoe can be used on a variety of surfaces and provides good traction.

Best New Balance 9060 Collabs

While there has been many popular collaborations on the New Balance 9060, two in particular stand out in design.
Released in May 22, the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 9060 'Inside Voices' enjoyed immediate success. It dropped in two colorways, featuring a mix of premium suede, mesh and leather in 'Penny Cookie Pink' and 'Baby Shower Blue'.
A more recent collab, released in January 23, saw Bricks & Wood place neutral shades of beige and grey on the silhouette with accents of lime green. Kacey Lynch, owner and co-founder of the brand, revealed on Instagram that the inspiration of the design came from his grandmother's house, neatly summed up in its name: 'Nothing Changed But the Address'. It's meant to remind us that we should remember where we come from, no matter where we go.
