Introducing the Nike Air VaporMax
The Nike Air VaporMax marked a major advancement in Nike’s Air technology, both in performance and design. Launched in 2017, the VaporMax broke away from the traditional foam midsole, instead utilising a full-length Air unit that delivers direct, underfoot cushioning.
Its Flyknit upper offers a lightweight, sock-like fit that adapts to the foot, while the segmented Air pod sole provides responsive cushioning, flexibility, and a bold, futuristic look. The design emphasises agility and reduced weight, and includes a dynamic lacing system for a secure, adaptive fit.
Since its debut, the VaporMax line has expanded into a variety of distinct models, each offering unique features. These include the eco-conscious VaporMax 2020 made with recycled materials, the VaporMax 360 with an extended, sculpted sole, and the VaporMax Plus, which fuses the Air Max Plus upper with the signature VaporMax cushioning.
