The adidas innovation team, led by Stephan Schneider and Ben Herath, created the adidas Ultra Boost in 2015 as a premium running shoe. Combining comfort, support, and energy return to provide a better running experience, the Ultra Boost quickly grew in popularity, and outstripped its performance roots to become a fashion staple.

Both the Ultra Boost 1.0 and the Ultra Boost Light are designed to provide the ultimate running experience. Depending on your needs and preferences, you can choose between the two: the 1.0 is more cushioned and supportive, while the Light is more responsive and lightweight.

The adidas Ultra Boost Design

It's the versatility of the Ultra Boost's design that allows it to be worn for both athletic and casual purposes. Able to regularly evolve, and even host a number of popular collaborations, the model has cemented its place as one of adidas' most influential silhouettes.

A number of design elements contribute to its distinct appearance and performance, including the Primeknit upper. Both lightweight and flexible, the seamless upper is designed to wrap around the foot like a sock, providing a snug and adaptive fit while still allowing for freedom of movement.

The Boost midsole technology utilises thousands of energy-returning TPU pellets to provide excellent responsiveness and energy return with each step. The tech provides a smooth, springy, and comfortable ride.

The Torsion system in the Ultra Boost allows for independent movement of the heel and forefoot with its thermoplastic arch support. It improves natural foot movement, improves stability, and decreases fatigue.

Lastly the outsole of the model, made of Continental rubber, is known for its excellent grip and durability. By providing reliable traction on a multitude of surfaces, it improves the overall performance.
