Proper autumn weather has arrived, and size? clearly saw it coming.
The retailer is bringing the adidas Oregon Ultra Tech back for the second chapter of its 2026 Archive series. This time, two exclusive pairs get Aditex weatherproofing to handle the wetter months. Both land on 16 October.

Fair question. It's hardly a household name.
The story starts with the adidas Oregon, a high-performance runner from 1982. Its party trick was the Dellinger web midsole: a springy nylon cage wrapped around the foam to spread out the impact of every stride.
In 1991, adidas went bigger and bolder with the Oregon Ultra Tech. It leaned into the look of the ZX Series, which was huge on the UK rave scene at the time. The original only ran from 1991 to 1993, which explains why you rarely see one in the wild.

Aditex is adidas' own weatherproofing and membrane tech. size? calls it a seasonal upgrade, and that's exactly what it is: extra protection against rain and wind on a retro runner that never had it.
You can spot it from the outside, too. Aditex tabs sit on the lateral side wall of both pairs.

Both pairs share the same foundations. A padded mesh upper gets suede and nubuck overlays, with colour blocking borrowed from '80s and '90s trail shoes.
Matte metallic D-rings take care of the laces and a woven tongue label adds a retro touch. Underneath, you'll find a Dellinger web midsole with Soft-Cell cushioning and a running-inspired rubber outsole.
From there, they go their separate ways. The first pair mixes grey mesh with light suede, lilac accents and matching lilac laces. The second goes earthy with tan and brown tones, red piping on the Three Stripes, red laces and gold-tone D-rings.

According to size?, each pair has its own shading, tech and material mix, and neither was built around a specific 'grail' colourway. No official colourway names yet, although a sample tag in the campaign shots lists the brown pair as 'Earth Strat/Brown/Red'.

It did. Back in June, size? opened the Archive series with two Oregon Ultra Techs in brown and black, complete with Cordura mesh, gold foil details and faux ostrich overlays on the brown pair.
The relationship goes back even further. In January 2014, size? dropped an exclusive Oregon Ultra Tech OG pack, so this one has been in the family for a while.

Both pairs drop on Friday 16 October 2026, online and in store, exclusively at size?.
