ROSÉ and PUMA Give the Speedcat a Croc Finish

Just a week after her nubuck pairs landed, ROSÉ is back in yet another PUMA Speedcat. Meet the Speedcat Croc, and no, it has nothing to do with clogs. This special edition gives the slim motorsport silhouette a glossy crocodile-textured makeover, and it's out today.

It's the latest chapter in a partnership that has kept the Speedcat firmly in the spotlight, and this time PUMA is playing with texture rather than colour.

A Closer Look at the PUMA x ROSÉ Speedcat Croc…

The foundations are pure Speedcat: a low, streamlined profile and a soft suede upper. The twist comes in the details. The Formstrip and the eyestays are finished in a polished, croc-textured material that sits glossy against the matte suede, so the shoe catches the light in all the right places.

Everything else is kept nice and quiet. Matching laces and tonal PUMA branding mean the croc overlays do all the talking, and from a distance it still reads as the Speedcat you know.

Three Shades for the Colder Months

• Black: the sleekest of the bunch, with the glossy overlays adding a subtle sheen.

• Deep Brown: the rich, chocolatey option ROSÉ wears throughout the campaign.

• Off-White: a lighter take for anyone who wants the texture without the darker tones.

A Retro Living Room Moment

For the campaign, PUMA swaps pit lanes for a softly lit retro interior, complete with herringbone floors, sheer curtains and a very space-age egg chair. ROSÉ lounges, perches and poses her way through the shoot in a light-blue zip-up and denim, letting the deep brown pairs stand out against the warm, vintage backdrop.

The Speedcat first came to life as a motorsport-inspired shoe. Since then it has grown into one of PUMA's go-to lifestyle silhouettes, popping up in everything from ballet flats to wedges.

ROSÉ has been a big part of that story. Her first Speedcat drops arrived alongside a matching apparel collection, and earlier this month she returned with two autumn editions in earthy brown and deep burgundy nubuck. The Speedcat Croc keeps that momentum going, this time with a finish that's a little more grown-up.
