Arriving as the duo’s third creative iteration, this adidas Originals Spezial flaunts a pop of bottle green that clearly differentiates itself from its collaborative predecessors. 

Lead by designer Gary Aspden, the adidas SPZL line draws inspiration from archival adidas silhouettes from the 70s to 90s. Flooded in retro steeze paying homage to the sportswear giants heritage, the range is home to the popular Handball model (cousin to the viral Samba). Partnering with the likes of C.P. Company in 2019 has only helped to drive the Spezial’s reputation, honouring the shoe with a sleek Italian persona.

The duo’s most recent collaborative endeavour takes on a refined low-top silhouette that feels effortlessly classy. Clearly reminiscent of a vintage adidas aesthetic, the LG2 SPZL flaunts a palette of white, brown and bottle green. Both originating in the 1970s, the LG2 SPZL replicates a sophisticated nostalgia that feels authentically adidas. The Gallagher-approved kicks boast a white leather base contrasting a green 3-Stripes. Elements of suede within the midwalls, forefoot and heel keep things retro-yet-contemporary – perfectly aligned with the SPZL ethos. Arriving with a portrait of the legend himself embedded onto the tongue, this sneaker holds enough heat to ‘live forever’.
