If you’re a fan of unapologetically bold kicks, you’re going to love the Jae Tips x Saucony Grid Shadow 2 What’s The Occasion capsule.
Back for seconds following the success of the collaborative Azura 2000, driving forces Jae Tips and Saucony present the Grid Shadow 2. Since the alliance launched their inaugural offering in May, sneaker connoisseurs have been eager to see what else the pair may have in store. After all, how do you top a sneaker that delivers a little slice of everything to provide an entirely unique and distinct offering? Well – we can safely say that they’ve done it again! Keeping in line with the expressive imagination synonymous with multi-hyphenate Jae Tips, the capsule works across two colourful palettes. Utilising Saucony’s Grid Shadow 2 as the collaboration’s muse, the ‘What’s the Occasion?’ injects a playful spin into the model. Seamlessly championing the beauty of self-expression, let’s take a closer look at what’s on offer…
Each colourway is prepped and ready for two occasions in particular, dubbed ‘Wear to a Date’ and ‘Wear to the Party’. Working atop a blue breathable mesh base, the first of the two kicks expresses hues of green, teal and baby blue, adorned with red and orange hits within branding. Contrasted by a pink midsole and pale blue laces, the plethora of colours works together to form a cool-toned visual masterpiece. As for the ‘Wear to a Party’ iteration, the silhouette has been given a strong spicy margarita, flaunting fiery hues that dance across the exterior. Green accents grace each sidewall (further emphasising the chilli vibes), as blue branding ties the capsule together. A variety of materials including premium suede, nubuck and mesh all play a role in the dynamic persona of the kicks, which arrive with custom insoles and packaging.
