Gary Aspden and adidas unveil the long-awaited Spezial (SPZL) Spring/Summer 2026 collection. Since its inception in 2013, the line has become the heart and soul for lovers of classic football casual fashion, and this new 2026 line-up certainly doesn’t disappoint.

The official drop is scheduled for 24 April 2026. This season, the collection focuses on a calm, earthy colour palette that perfectly suits the transitional weather.

Longride II SPZL (Wonder Silver): A lightweight touring shoe in a very pale ice blue. Perfect for warmer days and incredibly clean in its execution.

Samoa II SPZL (Tech Indigo): The undisputed highlight of the collection. This low-profile runner arrives in a sophisticated combination of black, navy, and gold, making it the most striking pair in the pack.

Punstock II SPZL (Blanch Cargo): For many archive collectors, this is the most significant model. Originally introduced in 2018 and inspired by the Wallabee style, the Punstock II returns in premium, light-toned suede

Burnden II SPZL (Cream White): The classic choice. White leather meets a gum sole—named after Burnden Park, the legendary former home of Bolton Wanderers. A timeless all-rounder for any rotation.

Gralfy II SPZL (Olive): The “dark horse” of the collection. With its moss-green suede and dark gum sole, it has an almost autumnal feel, which is precisely why it’s a standout choice for spring.

It wouldn’t be a Spezial collection without a standout range of clothing. This season, the focus remains on elevated basics and outerwear. The centrepiece is the new SPZL tracksuit, which arrives in a deep navy with gold detailing to match the Samoa II sneakers.

For layering fans, the collection includes high-quality polo shirts and graphic tees featuring vintage-inspired prints from the adidas vault. We also see the return of a lightweight technical jacket in an earthy tan hue, designed with the unpredictable British spring weather in mind.
