Laces and British winters have never been the best of mates. adidas seems to agree.
The Samba has just picked up a zip-up suede shroud that tucks the whole lacing system out of sight. The update lands as a three-pair winter pack, and the black pair is already up for grabs.

Less than you might think, and that's the point. The low-slung terrace shape, the Three Stripes and the black rubber toe all stay put.
The big difference sits up front. A suede panel now covers the laces and tongue, held shut by a zip running straight down the middle.
Unzip it and you'll find a regular Samba tongue and laces underneath.

Three colourways make up the pack.
The black pair, officially listed as Core Black/Grey Four/Core Black, keeps things moody with grey Three Stripes and tonal detailing throughout.
The brown suede option brings in purple stripes and branding for a bit of contrast. The blue suede pair, meanwhile, goes for black overlays and grey accents.
All three share a black rubber toe and outsole, with contrast stitching tracing the panels.

It has. Stone Island did a laceless zip version back in 2009, and atmos and Jeremy Scott have both had their own go at a zipped Samba since.
This pack is a quieter take than most of those. No wild materials or oversized hardware, just a practical cold-weather tweak on a shape you already know.

The pack is already on shelves at select retailers overseas.
Here in the UK, you can pick up the black adidas Samba Zip at size? for £100. UK release dates and prices for the brown and blue pairs haven't been confirmed yet.
Keep an eye on our release calendar for updates on the other two colourways.
