The inspiration behind the Offspring x adidas ZX8000 design is Portland stone, which has been used to construct some of London's most beautiful and lavish old buildings for hundreds of years. 

The stone has natural shades of brown and beige, which have been accentuated by centuries-old rainwater and day-to-day abrasion from the city. To stay true to the nature of the inspiration behind the design, OFFSPRING used a mix of soft and premium leather, premium suede, touches of hairy suede and micro perforation detailing in shades most reminiscent of Portland stone. 

They even added a hint of mint green to the lace tips, representing the oxidised lead that you find on the rooftops of many buildings in London.
