MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon are at it again. And this season, they've brought a derby to the trail.
The pair's Fall/Winter 2026 collection is an eight-pair line-up spread across four silhouettes: three new takes on the XT-MM6, the brand-new Crossderby, a puffer-inspired XT-BOOT and two fresh ACS Pro pairs. The first wave lands this Thursday.
A Closer Look at the MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon FW26 Collection…
The XT-MM6 Returns in Three New Colourways
Let's start with the familiar face. The XT-MM6 is MM6's spin on Salomon's cult XT-6, and it's back for autumn with three new looks:
Scarab – Scarab, Bistro Green and Green Milieu. Green from top to bottom, and the darkest pair of the three.
Tapioca – Tapioca, Sea Foam and Violet Tulip. A soft, creamy base with hints of mint and lilac.
Vanilla – Vanilla Ice, Ftw Silver and Lemon. Pale tones meet a metallic silver finish.
Spot the 6
As always with MM6, the branding is easy to miss. You'll find the logo tucked onto the side of the toe cap, the tongue and the insole, while an embossed '6' sits on the outsole.
Under the textile and synthetic upper, it's classic Salomon: an Agile Chassis System in the midsole and a grippy Contagrip outsole underfoot. Each pair costs £390.
Our pick? The Tapioca, if you fancy something a little softer for the colder months.
Wait, a Derby?
Yep. The Crossderby is the real curveball of the collection.
Up top, it's a proper derby shoe with a shiny black leather upper. Underneath, it's pure Salomon, with a chunky technical outdoor sole and the brand's Quicklace system instead of traditional laces. Smart enough for the office, sturdy enough for a muddy walk home. In theory, anyway.
It drops alongside the XT-MM6 on 22 October, priced at £440.
The XT-BOOT Is Basically a Puffer Jacket for Your Feet
Next up, the XT-BOOT. It builds on an earlier design and pairs a soft inner bootie that hugs the foot with a big, padded shaft that's constructed just like a puffer jacket.
The fun part? You can wear it open and slouchy, or pull the drawstring to cinch it into a sock-like shape. In the official imagery, it shows up in white and black, both finished with MM6's number graphic and Salomon branding on the shaft.
The XT-BOOT follows in November, reportedly on 17 November.
Two Fresh ACS Pro Pairs
The ACS Pro is also back in the MM6 mix, with two new colourways landing in November: a dark green and black pair, plus a lavender option for anyone who likes a bit of colour.
Don't Forget the Bag
It's not all about footwear. The XT-15 backpack is making a comeback too, this time with a white rain cover and a black logo. Salomon UK lists it at £290.
About That Campaign
The campaign leans hard on MM6's DNA. Every shot is framed by the famous Maison Margiela number grid, 0 to 23, with the 6 circled, sitting right on top of a bold Salomon wordmark. Simple, graphic and instantly recognisable.
MM6 and Salomon: The Story So Far
MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon have been working together since 2022, and the partnership has only got bolder over time.
Along the way, we've had the XT-Mary J, the XT-4 Mule and the Cross Dust, plus plenty of XT-MM6 colourways, including 'Vanilla Ice', 'Cherry Tomato' and 'Black' in autumn 2025. The Crossderby is the furthest the duo has strayed from the trail so far, and we're here for it.
How about the Drop Date?
The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-MM6 in Scarab, Tapioca and Vanilla drops on Thursday 22 October 2026, priced at £390 / €390.
The Crossderby lands on the same day for £440.
The XT-BOOT and the new ACS Pro colourways follow in November. UK pricing for both hasn't been confirmed yet.
