London's feel-good surf and skate label Always Do What You Should Do is back with adidas Originals for another round. This time the Climacool 1 gets the treatment, and it comes with a weather map print, a full neoprene build and a little pocket of sand where you'd least expect it.

Two Pairs, One Forecast

There are two colourways in the drop. The headline pair is wrapped entirely in neoprene (yep, wetsuit material) and printed all over with a custom weather map graphic. Pull out the sockliner and you'll find the same map there too.

The second pair plays it a little cooler. It pairs a mesh upper with a neoprene bootie tucked inside, and in adidas' product shots it comes in black with pale blue Three Stripes.

Hang On, Is That Sand?

It is. Each tongue carries a little bubble with 'Climacool' and 'Always' inside, and it's filled with sand. A day at the beach, minus the bit where it ends up in your socks.

Tucked behind the tongue, 'Peace at Every Step' and 'Always Do What You Should Do' are embroidered in. The heel gets lenticular branding, and the semi-translucent vents glow in the dark. Handy for a dawn patrol, or the walk home.

Our favourite touch, though? 'ALWAYSDOWHATYOUSHOULDDO' running along the side panel in founder Nick Mason's own handwriting.

Why the Climacool 1?

The Climacool 1 first showed up in the early 2000s as a runner built around one big idea: ventilation. Keep the air moving, keep your feet cool.

Swap the road for the coast and the idea works just as well. Add neoprene, a weather map and a bit of sand, and a running shoe from the archive suddenly feels right at home on the beach.

Wait, There's a Flip Flop Too?

There is, and it's not your average poolside slider. The ADWYSD comfort flip flop uses a thong construction with oversized Three Stripes in Climacool mesh, a neoprene lining with 'Peace at Every Step' and 'Weather the Storm' messaging, and a camo footbed.

Flip it over and there's 'Peace at Every Step' under the right foot and the ADWYSD logo under the left. Your footprints in the sand will never look better.

What About the Clothes?

A grey tracksuit rounds things off. The hooded top has 'Always Do What You Should Do' branding across the back, and the trousers come with zip-off legs, so they turn into shorts when the sun finally makes an appearance.

Look closely at the campaign shots and you'll spot the weather map print again, this time lining the inside of the jacket.

About the Brand

If you were walking around London during lockdown, you might have met them without realising. Stickers reading 'always do what you should do' and 'tell your friends you love them' started appearing on road signs across the city. Those messages came from Nick Mason.

Nick grew up in New Zealand, where surfing and skating were part of everyday life, and that's where the idea for the brand first took shape. In London, he started out with a run of screen-printed tees, running the whole thing from a shared bedroom in East London while working in surf and skate shops in Soho.

Things snowballed from there. The label has worked with Patagonia and Carhartt, dropped an exclusive run of three tees with London's Dover Street Market in 2022, and turned its hype into help by raising money to keep a Brazilian surf club afloat during the pandemic.

The look nods to the '90s and early-2000s surf brands of Nick's youth, think Rip Curl, Billabong and Quiksilver. The vibe, though, is all positivity. Hence that '@' logo with a sun in it.

ADWYSD and adidas: The Story So Far

This isn't their first rodeo. In February 2024, ADWYSD put its stamp on the Superstar: a black pair with a sandy sole, that '@' sun logo and 'Tell Your Friends You Love Them' messaging, plus 'London' and 'Mount Maunganui' as a nod to the brand's roots in both countries. It launched with a community event in Hackney.

The Pro Model ADV followed in May 2025, in glossy black patent leather with neon accents. That one came with a London campaign starring surfer Bobby Martinez and a fleet of wrapped double-decker buses. Very London.

The Climacool 1 is the latest chapter, and the most beach-ready yet.

How about the Drop Date?

The Always Do What You Should Do x adidas Climacool 1 collection lands on Wednesday 28 October 2026.

The weather map pair is exclusive to ADWYSD's own webstore and the adidas CONFIRMED app. Everything else drops via adidas and selected retailers.
