The Nike Air Max 95 Sneakerboot takes a cold-weather test drive

Following on from our last video, we take a look at another of Nike’s winter winners: the NIKE AIR MAX 95 SNEAKERBOOT.

This highly-functional take on the beloved Air Max 95 manages to keep all the iconic design features of the original shoe, while adding enough extra functionality to turn it into a very different beast indeed. And ‘beast’ is definitely the right word here: the updated uppers and rugged, grippy outsole are built to defy the worst the winter can throw at you. Water-resistant materials and a mid-cut ankle will keep out the rain, while a zip-up neoprene inner sock is lined with heat-reflective material to maintain warmth. Bright orange details and a reflective strip at the heel enhance visibility in low light, and a sticky rubber sole with the familiar Visible Air cushioning keeps you grounded in comfort. We picked the olive and black colourway to showcase the shoe’s utilitarian looks, but a blacked-out version is also available for those seeking more of a weatherproof ninja vibe.
