First Look at the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High ‘Chicago/Shadow’

UPDATE 23/10/2024: After months of speculation, we finally have a first look at the upcoming Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Chicago/Shadow’. Back in August 2024, all we had were rumours, but as of October, some first images of this exciting collab have started to surface. And from the looks of it, the design closely mirrors those early mock-ups we saw.

As it stands, the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG is expected to release on 12TH FEBRUARY 2025. However, this date hasn’t been officially confirmed by Jordan Brand or Union LA, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for updates on The Drop Date news page if you don’t want to miss out!

ORIGINAL ARTICLE 08/08/2024: Union Los Angeles is once again teaming up with Jordan Brand for a fresh spin on the Air Jordan 1 High OG, dropping in early 2025. This time, they’re blending two classic colourways, the iconic ‘Chicago’ and the sleek ‘Shadow’, to create the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Chicago/Shadow’.

Union LA’s previous Air Jordan 1 releases were groundbreaking in their own right, and they set a high bar for the upcoming AJ1 collaboration. In 2018, Union LA launched two standout palette – the ‘Black Toe’ and the ‘Storm Blue’. Utilising the same concept for 2025, the offering at hand blends two iconic design s in one sneaker.

A Closer Look at the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Chicago/Shadow’ (HV8563-600)*...

As we have a close look at the mock-up we can see that this latest release brings a masterful mix of colours, featuring the vibrant red, white, and black from the ‘Chicago’ on the front. While the back transitions into the cool greys and blacks of the ‘Shadow’.

Union LA’s signature touch is evident with the vintage-inspired, pre-yellowed midsole and zigzag stitching around the collar, giving it that DIY, deconstructed vibe they’re known for. Made complete with a co-branded tag, these nostalgic kicks certainly don’t disappoint.
