SKYLRK Sensory Runner in black and white, side view

Four years. That's how long Justin Bieber says he's been tweaking this one.

Back in August, the singer gave us our first glimpse of the SKYLRK Sensory Runner, wearing a pair himself in a set of Instagram snaps. Now a fresh batch of close-ups has landed, and we finally get a proper look at the details on his brand's chunkiest sneaker yet.

Spoiler: it's not your average runner.

A Closer Look at the SKYLRK Sensory Runner…

Let's start up top. The upper is built on a clean white base, with bold black overlays snaking across it in big, irregular, almost web-like shapes. They flow from the toe all the way back towards the heel, so there's barely a traditional panel in sight. The whole thing reads as one continuous, liquid design rather than a shoe stitched together from separate pieces.

The close-ups also show off a few smaller touches: thick, rounded white laces, a padded collar and a soft-looking white heel that keeps the focus on all that black-and-white contrast.

Walking on Pods

Then there's the sole, and this is where the Sensory Runner really goes its own way. Instead of a regular, flat midsole, the shoe sits on a sculpted unit split into a series of rounded sections from heel to toe. Look at it side-on and it's like the sneaker is perched on a row of little pods.

Flip it over and there's another surprise. The bottom of the shoe features a light blue, seemingly translucent layer with wavy, ripple-like lines running across it, plus what looks like a small clear window in the middle.

What it's actually made of is still a mystery, mind. SKYLRK hasn't shared any details on materials, cushioning or performance tech, so for now, all we've got to go on is what we can see in the pics.

Not One for the Shy

Proportion-wise, this is a proper statement runner. The stance is wide and sturdy, and on foot that pod-style sole is impossible to miss. Bieber styled his pair with slouchy white socks and long shorts, which only puts the shape of the shoe more front and centre.

From Slides to Sensory

If SKYLRK still feels like a fairly new name, that's because it is. Bieber's fashion and lifestyle label officially launched in 2025, and it's been steadily branching out from clothing and accessories into footwear ever since.

We first covered Bieber's sandal sneaker tease back in April 2025, and the brand has kept the comfy, chunky energy going. Over on the official SKYLRK web store, you'll currently find the likes of the Sunken Mule, GLICKY sunglasses, Bump Case phone cases, hoodies, painter pants and rib-knit beanies, with several pieces already marked as sold out.

The Sensory Runner feels like the brand's most ambitious footwear move so far, and that four-year development period suggests Bieber wasn't in any rush to get it out the door.

How About the Drop Date?

Here's the bit you came for, and we're afraid there's not much to report just yet. Bieber has only confirmed that the SKYLRK Sensory Runner is "coming soon".

There's no official release date, no UK price and no confirmed stockists. The black-and-white pair is also the only colourway we've seen so far. SKYLRK says its own web store is the only official site for the brand, so that seems a likely place to watch, but it hasn't confirmed where the Sensory Runner will drop.

We'll update you as soon as we know more. In the meantime, catch up on the latest sneaker news for more on SKYLRK, Justin Bieber and plenty of other celeb-backed kicks.
