BAPE x adidas Crazy Energy+ in metallic silver camo

Silver camo on court, purple camo off it.

BAPE and adidas are back together, and this time they've swapped the football pitch for the hardwood. The new collection takes its cues from late-'90s and early-2000s basketball and streetwear, with the BAPE x adidas Crazy Energy+ (KH8660) leading the way.

OKC Thunder star Jalen Williams fronts the campaign, and the whole lot lands on 7 November 2026.

A Closer Look at the BAPE x adidas Crazy Energy+…

Close-up of the BAPE x adidas Crazy Energy+

BAPE has covered the entire upper in a metallic all-over print it calls COLOR CAMO SILVER. From a distance it reads as plain silver, but get closer and the camo pattern does the talking, keeping the branding fairly low-key.

The detail you'll clock first is the knitted lace overlay spelling out "WGM", short for World Gone Mad. A wide shroud sits where you'd normally see an exposed tongue, while BAPE STA branding pops up at the heel next to the adidas detailing.

You also get two interchangeable lacing options in the box, so you can switch up the look whenever you fancy.

Underneath all that camo, it's still very much a hoops shoe. The Crazy Energy+ is one of the newest performance models from adidas Basketball and keeps its Lightstrike Pro cushioning here.

It's also the latest chapter of the Crazy family, a line that goes all the way back to the Crazy 1 of the '90s. The Energy+ itself first surfaced earlier in 2026 as a sleeker, speed-focused take, with sculpted overlays rising above a moulded base. Choosing a fresh performance model rather than a retro is a nice twist for a BAPE collab.

Purple Runs Through the Rest of the Collection

While the shoe goes silver, the apparel is all about purple. It's a nod to BAPE's COLOR CAMO, a pattern long-time fans tie to the brand's early-2000s glory days.

Our pick of the bunch is the reversible mesh hoodie in COLOR CAMO PURPLE. There's a tonal shark face on the outside of the hood and an all-over STA print on the inside, so you're basically getting two hoodies in one.

Reversible Adibreak trousers complete the set.

The varsity jacket is the piece that pulls everything together. It's black with purple accents and gold studs.

Turn it around and there's a big chenille "World Gone Mad" print across the back.

That's not all, either. A "World Gone Mad" warm-up top, a BABY MILO® T-shirt, a reversible beanie and a BABY MILO® basketball bag round off the line-up.

According to House of Heat, BAPE and adidas also have an adiZero Goukana in pink, purple and red camo with a large white STA motif lined up for the 2026 holiday season.

It wasn't part of the official info we received, though, so treat that one as unconfirmed for now.

Jalen Williams Leads the Campaign

J-Dub is one of the most exciting young players in the league right now. He helped the Oklahoma City Thunder win the 2025 NBA title and has been an adidas athlete for a while, having already laced up his own PE versions of adidas Basketball models.

adidas describes him as someone who connects sport, fashion and culture, which makes him a pretty natural fit for a BAPE link-up.

And this is far from the first time BAPE and adidas have teamed up. It all started back in 2003 with the 'Super Ape Star', a camo-covered Superstar that launched under the slogan "The Respect is Mutual".

Since then, the pair have kept returning to the Superstar, including a three-way with NEIGHBORHOOD in 2017 and the SSTR V pack in 2025. In summer 2026 they branched out with a football-themed capsule for the World Cup, and now basketball gets its turn.

More than 20 years after that first Superstar, the partnership is still going strong.
