Stan Birch built his name taking scissors and a heat gun to other brands' sneakers. Now Saucony has handed him the keys to one of its own archive runners, and the result, the Saucony x Stan Birch ProGrid Guide 7, drops on 10 September.
Birch spent years working as Flou Customs, reworking pairs by hand with a signature love of clashing colour and swappable parts. That same energy defines his first official collaboration. The ProGrid Guide 7 arrives in cream mesh, layered so the colours underneath show through, with mint suede, peachy leather hits, and burgundy and gold trim wrapping the sole. The branding is where the custom background really shows: the side logo is built from velcro panels you can swap between white-red and gold, and the shoe ships with extra lace sets so the fit and look can keep changing long after purchase.

Underneath it all sits the ProGrid cushioning platform Saucony first introduced back in 2007, so the Guide 7 isn't purely a styling exercise. The pair was already spotted at a handful of Fashion Weeks earlier this year, well before Saucony confirmed anything officially.
The Saucony x Stan Birch ProGrid Guide 7 (style code S71070-2) releases on 10 September, priced at £144.99. Expect it at Saucony directly, alongside select stockists. Head over to our release calendar to get all release information and retailer list at a glance.
