The adidas Gazelle Indoor is Back In Three Colourways

2023 has undoubtedly been a big year for the adidas Gazelle. We’ve seen pretty much anyone who’s anyone flexing a pair, from Rita Ora to Brad Pitt. Collaborations with industry big dogs like Gucci and Yohji Yamamoto have seen the model skyrocket in popularity and demand, and the 3-Stripes enterprise haven’t been shy to keep the fire burning with a range of iterations. Enter the re-release of three colourways for the adidas Gazelle Indoor series. Originally intended for inside-wear (as per the name), this sportswear-coded sneaker returns for another drop, doused in retro nostalgia.

Making their debut back in 1979, the adidas Gazelle has well and truly proved its longevity over the years. Initially introduced as a versatile training sneaker, the model donned an uncomplicated design that was appealing to casual-wearers and footwear connoisseurs alike. Crafted from a simple suede upper, 3-Stripes emblem and gum rubber outsole, what’s not to love? It isn’t surprising that the Gazelle hype leaked into wider subcultures; with football fans, fashion enthusiasts and indie rockers all eager to hop on the wave.

Over 4 decades later, and the Gazelle doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon. Collaborative iterations with the likes of Blondey McCoy and Sean Wotherspoon have played a significant role in keeping the Gazelle Indoor vibes alive, so it’s no surprise that adidas are dishing out a re-up. Arriving in colourways ‘Blue Bird’, ‘Scarlet’ and ‘Core Black’, the model stays true to its heritage with a timeless persona. Each sneaker sports a supple suede upper, complimented by a white leather lining. The classic 3-Stripes endure a fresh snowy hue, posted atop a rubber gum sole unit. Flooded in a fresh look that’s street-style ready, we can’t get enough.
