PUMA is stepping into the ring with Street Fighter, and the result is a three-pair Suede pack built around Ryu, Ken Masters and Chun-Li. It's not the franchise's first sneaker crossover, adidas and Reebok have both had a go before it, but this one lands with proper timing: the new live-action Street Fighter movie hits cinemas on 16 October 2026.

Each pair keeps the same distressed suede build and simply swaps the palette to match its character, right down to a "Hadouken" hit on the left shoe and a black-and-white hangtag referencing the "World Warrior Tournament".

Ryu's pair goes white-and-red with Hadouken graphics scattered across the upper, a nod to the fireball he's spent decades lobbing at anyone who gets in his way. Ken Masters flips the palette into red-and-white and trades Hadouken for Shoryuken graphics, a callback to his signature uppercut.

Chun-Li is clearly where PUMA spent the most time. Leather side panels and rivets stand in for her blue in-game fit, finished off with metallic silver studs and gold accents, easily the most detailed pair of the three. Style codes land at 410648-01 for Chun-Li, 410647-01 for Ryu and 410646-01 for Ken Masters, all in unisex sizing.

Why PUMA, Why Now?

Street Fighter has been running since 1987, back when it helped invent the fighting game genre outright. Decades on, it's still one of gaming's biggest names, one that keeps finding its way onto merch, films and now a second life on a suede classic that's been around even longer: the Suede dates back to 1968 and has been picking up collabs like this one ever since.

How About the Drop Date?

PUMA hasn't put an official date on the pack yet, but the pieces are starting to line up. Expect it sometime in October, priced around £110, most likely through PUMA and select retailers. US retailer Champs Sports already has the Ken Masters colorway listed for 9 October, timing that lines up neatly with the movie's 16 October release.

Keep an eye on our release calendar for the moment this one goes live, or browse the sneaker search engine for more PUMA Suede colorways in the meantime.
