The New Balance 2002R 'Lunar Year' brings the popular 2002R design into a celebratory colorway at the beginning of 2023 as the Chinese tradition unfolds. With a colour scheme inspired by the 2023 Year of the Rabbit and the animal's depictions in Chinese culture, the sneaker features earthy pink tones all throughout the upper. On a soft pink mesh base, the suede leather overlays in different tones of purple complement the design. The grey on the heel tab, tongue and sole blend in nicely with the colour scheme giving a soft touch to the shoe. Branding elements are presented on the tongue tag and medial while the 'N' logo is presented in two tones of purple, with a white outline. The cream laces match in colour the midsole, which uses N-ERGY technology for extra comfort, specific for the sneakers in Protection Pack.
