The New Balance 2002R was given a new lease of life after the release of the Protection Pack. In this pack, the silhouette was portrayed in a worn-out way, which created a tough look. Joe Freshgoods teamed up with the footwear brand to put his handwriting on this silhouette for the 'Conversations Amongst Us' collection, which also includes one. 

The upper is made of different materials, which also allowed the designers to work with different shades. White, light yellow and orange are the main shades that can be spotted on the upper. The outsole has also adopted the orange colour. The materials used on the upper are mesh, leather and suede.
