Politics x Saucony Courageous The Cannon – Release Info

The POLITICS X SAUCONY COURAGEOUS THE CANNON is the first of two pairs that pay homage to the Battle of New Orleans.

The Battle of New Orleans was a series of engagements fought between December 1814 and January 1815, which together constituted the final major battle of the War of 1812. To celebrate the battle’s bicentennial, Louisiana residents POLITICS are releasing two colourways of the COURAGEOUS, the first of which we see here. The colourway is given the name THE CANNON, as it takes inspiration from the colours of the cannons used in the Battle of New Orleans. The result is a predominantly light blue suede upper, which is broken up by small hits of black on the eyelet and heel. The matching perforated tongue label features gold POLITICS branding and a cannon graphic to make the inspiration clear. A white midsole adds some contrast down below, whilst light blue detailing and a black outsole tie in nicely with the upper. Although battles may not be very nice, it would seem the shoes that they inspire definitely are!
