After months of waiting, the Air Jordan 4 RM is officially next in line to join Jumpman’s ‘Black Cat’ legacy. Confirmed off the back of Nigel Sylvester’s ‘Grandma’s Driveway’ release last week, the AJ4 RM heat is definitely in the air. And we’re not mad about it!

The ‘Black Cat’ lore dates all the way back to 2006. First coined from Michael Jordan’s nickname, the title debuted in footwear form as the first Jordan that steered away from the colourful releases synonymous with the brand. Expressing an entirely blacked out construction, the shoe quickly rose to collector stardom, sowing the seed for many other Black Cat’s to come.

As you likely could have predicted, this nostalgic offering showcases an immaculate construction of black panelling. Supple leather, velvety nubuck and mesh create a sleek textural appearance, united together via classic TPU caging. The only thing that brightens up this midnight exterior is highlights within the tongue branding and insole, which flaunts bright white Jumpman iconography.
