The NIKE AIR MAX CB 94 is making a comeback this season, and it’s no surprise considering the longstanding reputation of Nike Air as a top-of-the-line cushioning system. Originally introduced in 1987 with the first Air Max release, the feature was initially designed for running but quickly spread to other sports such as basketball, where it provided similar benefits on the court as it did on the track. In 1994, legendary basketball player Charles Barkley caused a stir when his Air Max-enhanced signature series hit the market, inspiring an entire generation of basketball shoe designs. Now, Nike is plucking the iconic CB 94 model outta the archives and its ready to turn heads again. The shoe’s internal bootie provides a secure fit, while the cut-out overlays and elastic-enhanced eye stays offer flexibility and additional support. The upcoming release pays homage to Barkley’s team at the time, the Phoenix Suns, with an OG-inspired colourway. The model was last seen in 2020, but both new and old fans of this shoe will soon have another chance to get their hands on it.
