The NEW BALANCE MADE IN THE UK LONDON MARATHON 1500 celebrates 40 years of the historic running event…

As the official sponsor of the Virgin Money London Marathon, New Balance are set to drop a special edition of the Made in the UK 1500 that boasts subtle details nodding to the historic run. Constructed from a pigskin and mesh upper, the 1500 sees a combination of black, grey, and white on the upper, whilst ruby red pops through paying homage to the race kit that Dick Beardsley ran in in 1981, as well as the marathon celebrating 40 years. Finishing off the pair is “2:11:48” embroidered on the heel nodding to the time set by Dick Beardsley and Inge Simonsen in the inaugural 1981 London Marathon.
