Introducing the ASICS Trabuco Max
The ASICS Trabuco Max is a recent addition to ASICS’ trail-running lineup, crafted for long distances and technical off-road terrain with a focus on cushioning, traction, and energy efficiency.
It incorporates GUIDESOLE technology (a rocker-style midsole design that minimises energy loss during the transition from foot-strike to toe-off) combined with generous stack heights of approximately 28 mm in the heel and 23 mm in the forefoot. The ASICSGRIP outsole features aggressive lugs to ensure traction on both uphill and downhill terrain. The upper blends breathable mesh with reinforcements, sometimes including 3D-printed overlays, a gaiter-ready design, and toggle or speed-lacing systems for added protection and support.
With a neutral support profile, the shoe prioritises maximum cushioning and stability through geometry rather than rigid motion control, making it ideal for ultra-distance trail running or hikes where comfort and grip take precedence over agility.
