Naked CPH x ASICS Link Up Again On The Gel-Cumulus 16

Naked CPH and ASICS are cooking up something soft, warm and properly wearable. The Danish retailer's latest team-up lands as the Gel-Cumulus 16 'Copenhagen', a colourway built around a Scandinavian sunset rather than the usual loud drop-day palette.

A Closer Look at the Naked CPH x ASICS Gel-Cumulus 16 'Copenhagen'

The upper opens in white mesh over a silver base, with dark brown overlays wrapping the forefoot, lace unit and heel. ASICS' signature side stripes get a thin red outline, while a soft pink picks out the GEL branding at the back.

Two lace sets come in the box: one pale pink, one deep red, so you can switch things up depending on your mood. Down below, a cream midsole houses a red GEL unit with silver detailing, finished off with a black outsole for contrast.

It's a proper archive-runner redux, technical enough to feel considered, casual enough to wear every day. Sizing runs unisex, so there's no need to second-guess which size chart to use.

Not Their First Time Linking Up

This isn't Naked and ASICS' first rodeo. The pair first joined forces back in 2015 on a Gel-Lyte 5, then returned in 2022 with a Gel-1130. Naked Copenhagen has built its name on a softer, more considered take on sneaker design, and that fingerprint shows up again here in the muted colour choices.

The Gel-Cumulus 16 itself only made its comeback last year, brought back as a running silhouette with a streetwear lean. Since then it's become something of a go-to canvas for exactly this kind of project.

It's a nice reminder that a good collab doesn't need to shout to stand out. Sometimes a considered palette does more work than a loud one.
