Cecilie Bahnsen Brings Floral Magic and More to the ASICS GEL-KINETIC™ Model

If there’s one collaboration that consistently manages to completely reframe technical sportswear into something delicate and romantic, it’s Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS. The Copenhagen-based designer has built an absolute powerhouse partnership with ASICS over recent seasons. Now, for autumn 2026, the duo returns to unveil their latest creation: the GEL-KINETIC™ FR.

The Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS GEL-KINETIC™ FR collection is taking inspiration from nature in constant motion. Think falling petals, growing stems, and organic shifting. Bahnsen infuses ASICS’ performance-led design language again with her unmistakable haute-couture touches in this work.

The silhouette of the GEL-KINETIC™ FR relies on a fine micro-textured base with a subtle, semi-matte sheen. Layered across the upper are debossed, embossed, and high-frequency floral motifs that bleed directly into the shoe’s structure.

Playful flower charms, delicate beads, and Bahnsen’s signature drawcord lacing elevate the pair into true wearable art. You also get adjustable Velcro straps across a softly padded half-tongue that maintain practical lockdown. Cecilie Bahnsen explained that from the delicate transparencies and flower-shaped eyelets to the interplay of matte and glossy finishes, each layer introduces something unexpected, light, and full of joy.

"I love the richness of detail and the playful elements that unfold across the shoe, giving them a sense of movement and bringing them to life.

Of course, we get the ultimate comfort we love and are used to from ASICS performance heritage. The silhouette features a sculptural GEL™ heel unit engineered for impact absorption and lightweight cushioning. This gives a seamless balance between hyper-functional technology and floaty, fashion-led construction.
