The Air Jordan 2
The Air Jordan 2 was a precursor to the Air Jordan 1, which was released barely a year earlier and became an instant classic. In November 1986, it was released in stores.
It is regarded as one of the most divisive Jordan Brand sneaker styles in history, and no one can deny its significance in Michael Jordan's career in basketball.
By drastically altering the Air Jordan design after the original shoe's enormous success, Nike took a huge risk.
Due to its materials (designed to look more elegant), the Air Jordan 2 wasn't initially intended for basketball use.
The shoes were famously worn by Michael Jordan during the 1986 NBA playoffs despite early misgivings.
