This summer plays host to the first collaboration between skate footwear giants Vans and Hamburg-based TRAP Skateboards, which sees both brands join forces to create a new force to reckon with for the Half Cab’s 25th anniversary year.

The model takes its namesake from the infamous and iconic Wilhelmsberg Banks located in TRAP’s home city of Hamburg. Considered to be one of the best street spots in Europe, the curved brick banks constantly attract a stream of local and travelling skaters, and now extend their reach even further by finding their way onto the uppers of the equally iconic Half Cab. A Wilhemsberg brick inspired pattern takes shape alongside correlating brown suede, resting atop a clean white midsole and trademark Vans gum waffle outsole finished with clean white laces, resulting in both an eye-catching and skateable shoe.

Limited to 200 pairs worldwide, the collaboration has been co-signed by skateboarding pioneer and original designer of the Vans Half Cab, Steve Caballero, as part of the 25th anniversary of the silhouette, so you best believe this is something special. The VANS X TRAP SKATEBOARDS HALF CAB “SAVE THE WILHELMSBURG” will be given a pre-release on THURSDAY 1 JUNE at Supreme Los Angeles before going on general release at Slam City Skates London, Nozbone Paris, Stilladen Wien, Lockwood Antwerp, and Mantis Hamburg on SATURDAY 10 JUNE.
