Vans x Toy Story – Release Info

Two of California’s finest exports – Vans and Pixar – have combined creative forces to deliver the VANS x TOY STORY collection, which will start to drop this week in the US.

The manchildren who work at The Drop Date (that is, all of us) are giddy with childlike excitement over the Toy Story-themed Vans styles, which include the Sk8-Hi, Authentic, Old Skool, and Slip-On – and they’re not just for the kids, as they will be available in adult sizes, too.

Are you a Woody or Buzz Lightyear guy? If the former, you’ll have three options to choose from as the Sk8-Hi Reissue PT, Old Skool and Authentic styles each have Woody-inspired designs, using cowboy-appropriate denim, leather and cowhide materials. For those in the Buzz Lightyear camp, there is the Old Skool silhouette that has colours taken from Buzz’s suit, and a Sk8-Hi Reissue with glow in the dark features. The rest of the Toy Story gang is included, too – with Hamm, Slinky Dog, Rex and Bo Peep all representin’. The aliens Buzz and Woody encounter, as well as Sid’s mutant toys, have their own cameo appearances in this collection, too. To complete the look, each trainer has a childlike “Andy” scrawled on the soles.

The collection isn’t limited to trainers – there is a women’s line of apparel and accessories, with Woody and the other toys acting as motifs. Men will have their choice of gear inspired by Buzz Lightyear and the aliens. Both the women’s and men’s collections will include t-shirts, fleeces, socks, hats and backpacks.

The VANS x TOY STORY releases in the US on FRIDAY 7 OCTOBER, with the UK and EU drops following on TUESDAY 29 NOVEMBER. This will give you plenty of time to do your Christmas shopping for the littluns as well as yourself. In the meantime, shop the latest releases at Vans via the banner below.
