Often inspired by vintage Americana, the Japanese brand Neighborhood is back with a special capsule teaming up with both Vans and Mr. Cartoon. Known for his tattoo and graffiti work, Mr. Cartoon has placed a West Coast spin atop the Authentic 44 DX and Old Skool 36 DX. The Authentic dons a comic book aesthetic with airbrushed Chicano personalities covering the entire upper, whilst the Old Skool takes on a black suede makeup accented with “LOS ANGELES” and “TOKYO” embroidered across the toe boxes and co-branding on the heels. A small selection of apparel has also released alongside, featuring prints depicting a sign for the imaginary ‘Uncle Toons Mart’.
