THE HUNDREDS X JACKSON POLLOCK COLLECTION is a range of paint-splattered bangers, and it’s available now.
The American artist Jackson Pollock is best known for his famous drip paintings, which he created on his studio floor by flinging liquid paint across the canvas with his brush. The splatters and drips left on the floor from the creation of these ‘action paintings’ formed an incredible pattern in their own right, and it’s this kaleidoscopic mish-mash of colours and splashes that Californian streetwear brand The Hundreds have used across a range of clothing, furniture and accessories. The apparel is brightly coloured, intricately patterned and very wearable, with everything covered (literally) from hats to shorts via t-shirts, hoodies, and a canvas painter-style work jacket.
Sitting alongside the clothing, there’s also a skateboard deck, jigsaw puzzles, ashtrays and an incredible Modernica fibreglass shell chair which all come printed with the same paint-flecked pattern. And in case you thought this was a case of streetwear ripping off art, all the items bear dual The Hundreds and Jackson Pollock Studio branding and a portion of the proceeds go to the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center.
THE HUNDREDS X JACKSON POLLOCK COLLECTION is AVAILABLE NOW with CALIROOTS and other select retailers. Check out the range below, and hit the banners to shop the collab now.
