SNEAKER SPOT aims to revolutionise the trade show and bring it into the 21st century by merging analogue and digital.
We all know the feeling: you can’t make it to the trade show and you miss out on your favourite shoes, or alternatively you’re on location, but you have trouble finding buyers for your impressive collection… well that’s all about to change.
SNEAKER SPOT allows the trader to not only market their collection locally at the show, but also to involve bidders through one of the largest online marketplaces in the world at the same time. A unique lighting concept at the trade show means that visitors can immediately see if a shoe has been sold online, as each shoe has an individual spot light, which will turn off as soon as the shoe sells. This interactive innovation allows any sneaker fan to attend a sneaker exhibition without actually having to be there in person. As an added bonus, SNEAKER SPOT will host a live event, presented by Turnschuh.tv’s Hikmet Sugoer and Simon Bus, called The Sneaker SpotCAST! They will be presenting interviews with brand leaders and consumers, and streaming it live as part of the SNEAKER SPOT concept. This is a really interesting idea and we are looking forward to seeing how it works in practice.
The SNEAKER SPOT concept will be debuting today at SEEK in Berlin. You can check out the Sneaker SpotCAST live stream here. In the meantime you can check out the…creative… introductory video below.
