The SANTA CRUZ X PUMA CLASSIC SUEDE 50 celebrates half a century of the iconic model with a little help from the “Screaming Hand.”
After hosting a 50th-anniversary celebration of the Suede alongside a collaboration with Bobbito back in May, PUMA carries on the model’s milestone year, this time bumping heads with the graphics-heavy brand, Santa Cruz Skateboards. Established in Northern California by surfers Rich Novak, Doug Haut, and Jay Shuirman back in 1973, it’s one of the oldest skate brands in operation, most famously known for its distinct “Screaming Hand” logo designed by Jim Phillips Sr. in the mid-’80s, which takes centre stage across this special edition of the Classic Suede 50. Hitting stores as we type, you can check the model out on foot courtesy of our friends at OVERKILL.
