NIKELAB LUNAR HUARACHE LIGHT

The NIKELAB LUNAR HUARACHE LIGHT takes the much-loved HUARACHE LIGHT and gives it a solid new throne to sit on, in the form of a LUNARLON midsole.

Whilst many people still flock to the regular NIKE AIR HUARACHE (and we’re not complaining: it’s a genuine classic, regardless of how many iterations continue to appear), some of us elderly chaps here still harbour deep love for the Huarache Light. When it first dropped back in 1993, no-one really knew what to think. First of all, where’s the big ole’ swoosh that we’re used to seeing in full glory on the sides? Oh there it is – neatly tucked away towards the heel panel. Tinker Hatfield’s clever and unique design proved that bold needn’t mean brash, and whilst it was intended as a functional running shoe, regular trainer fans quickly realised just how good the shoe looked as a piece of everyday footwear. The NIKE AIR HUARACHE LIGHT BURST followed in 2004, just to show us that a slight remix wouldn’t necessarily spoil the sleek qualities of the original shape.

To cut things short, we’re happy to see this modern update on the original shoe. The shape of the upper section is absolutely perfect for the Lunar midsole, which accentuates the overall svelte qualities of the design.

Coming in both all-white or black, the NIKELAB LUNAR HUARACHE LIGHT is due to hit the streets sometime around 12 MAR 2015. Check the release page via the link-through below for full details!
