Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4%: On-Foot Shots

The NIKE ZOOM VAPORFLY 4% recently hit the shelves – and disappeared with the quickness. You could say that was appropriate for one of the fastest-looking runners we’ve seen in a while, but it left many people feeling frustrated. But with a restock looming, there’s another chance to get your feet into one of our favourite new models this year.

We first looked at the Vaporfly here a few weeks back and our initial impressions haven’t changed: this unique design tears up the rulebook to offer a sleek shape that works perfectly for everyday wear too. The cushioned Zoom X midsole features a full-length carbon plate, aiming to minimise energy loss for an extra boost of physical prowess.

We took a pair to the local running track to see if they performed as good as they look… and it’s a definite win for the big Swooshed shoe. Performance-wise, it doesn’t disappoint at all. It’s light, comfortable and offers a good amount of traction underfoot, allowing you to focus on the task at hand. But lookswise, it’s even better in the flesh. The Ice Blue colourway is eye-catching, and the Bright Crimson details contrast perfectly without being offensive. Strike up a podium finish for this one.
