The Nike First Use Collection Pays Tribute to the Iconic Swoosh Identity

To say that the NIKE FIRST USE COLLECTION is extensive would have to be one of the understatements of the year: there really is a model for everyone within this pack. The theme for the series is celebrating the ‘First Use’ of the brand’s iconic swoosh logo, as designed by Carolyn Davidson back in 1971. Every shoe in this series features a typographic reference to the date, with further details scattered throughout each of the shoes. The line-up seems to grow every week, but we’ve picked a handful of our favourites to show here, just to give a taste of what this is all about. Many of the classics are featured – the Air Force 1, the Air Max 90, The Dunk High – with a few more contemporary designs, such as the Air Max Plus (AKA the TN) and the VaporMax Evo, to maximise the collection’s appeal.
