Nike’s Elephant Is Back in the Room: The atmos Air Max 1 x Jordan III Pack

The Nike ATMOS AIR MAX 1 x JORDAN III PACK unites the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Elephant’ with the Air Jordan III in a special limited-edition double pack release.

In addition to the voted-back atmos x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Elephant’, Nike and Jordan Brand have joined forces for a limited-edition double pack celebrating the connection between atmos’s creative director Hirofumi Kojima’s creations and the iconic Air Jordan III. The pack’s Air Max 1 incorporates an unmistakable Jumpman logo hit on the sole, whilst the Air Jordan III comes dressed in Nike’s iconic Safari print for the first time — a tribute to both the 1987 Nike Air Safari (a key member of the ground-breaking ‘Air Pack’), and the legendary atmos’ 2002 gum-soled Air Max 1.

Easily one of the most memorable Air Max 1 releases was the premium pair that atmos designed back in 2007. Already famous worldwide for two initial Nike Air Max 1 designs four years earlier, atmos layered the Air Jordan III’s iconic elephant print onto a basic black and white, suede and leather AM1 which was given a bright jade Swoosh for lasting appeal. Last year it was selected on Air Max Day as the design most people wanted to see return – and that’s what’s happening for Air Max Day 2017.
