Nike Air Zoom Talaria USA – A First Look

The NIKE AIR ZOOM TALARIA USA forms part of the 2016 Olympic collection, with typically patriotic colours.

The history of Nike Zoom Air dates back to 1995, when the superior cushioning technology began to show up in a variety of sport-specific models, such as the Nike Air Zoom LWP and Nike Air Zoom Alpha. Two years later, the Nike Air Zoom Talaria was released, changing our preconceptions of what a running shoe should look like. Featuring a visible Zoom Air unit, it delivered a unparalleled platform for runners, ensuring its place in the history books. We’ve seen the Talaria return in various guises over the past few years, most notably via NikeLab earlier this year, and now we get to check out this special Olympic edition. Coloured in the traditional Red, White, Blue and Gold color scheme, it’s a perfect homage for Team USA. The durable suede overlays and breathable mesh upper reappear, with the original outsole underneath. To compliment the original styling, modern materials in the midsole and sockliner deliver added comfort.
