We’re two months away from being able to get our hands on the long awaited NIKE AIR VAPORMAX but, in the meantime, The Drop Date can offer you a closer look with some exclusive OTF photography.
As The Drop Date recently revealed, the arrival of the VaporMax is the culmination of three decades of research and development. Designed to fulfill the Air Max mission to ‘provide lightweight, consistent cushioning that lasts’, Nike has achieved this through the the evolution of technologies that now allow the VaporMax Air unit to act as a standalone outsole. This has allowed the brand’s designers to incorporate the Air and exterior layer into one holistic unit, eliminating the need for a traditional foam midsole, consequently helping the shoe shed weight and bulk. As the folks at Nike say, ‘The sneaker is an engineering masterpiece’. Well they would say that wouldn’t they! But The Drop Date happens to wholeheartedly agree, especially after having had a closer look at a pair of the VaporMax in a black colourway – check out the OTF photos taken by good friend of The Drop Date, Mr Nick Glackin.
The NIKE AIR VAPORMAX is slated to drop on THURSDAY 16 MARCH. Keep your eyes on The Drop Date Release Page for further updates: in the meantime, you can check the current Air Max collection at NIKE by clicking the banner below.
