Dropping next weekend, the NIKE AIR MAX LD-ZERO H is the latest effort from Nike and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment design label.
The design of the LD-Zero H was inspired by Fujiwara’s love of the Nike LD1000, the ’70s classic that’s famed for its clean lines. This newest drop reinterprets the original LD-Zero H that was introduced earlier in the year, including new eye stay finishing, doubled-up brio cables (formerly known as Flywire) and a full-length translucent 360-degree Max Air unit. The major new feature in this drop is the upper is constructed with suede, as well as a few leather accents on the lining. There will be three colourways available, although we’ve seen two to date – an all black number and a dark grey version with dark blue swoosh branding and accents. While we’ve yet to see official photos of the third colourway, the word is it will be Sail (a cream/off white combination) – we’ll share pix as soon as Nike does. The black/grey/blue colourways look like ideal additions to the AW16 repertoire, seamlessly blending the vintage aesthetic with modern technology. In fact, the genesis of Hiroshi’s design idea was to delve into Nike’s archives and combine old school silhouettes with the latest technologies that are available now – which ticks the most important boxes for a lot of today’s discerning sneakerheads. Which colourway will you try and snap up?
The NIKE AIR MAX LD-ZERO H will drop on SATURDAY 19 NOVEMBER: keep checking back for the full release details. In the meantime, you can shop the current Air Max collection at Nike via the banner below.
