The Nike Air Max 97 Futura Brings the Beef

The NIKE AIR MAX 97 FUTURA welcomes the latest addition to the Swoosh’s adventurous line, featuring Christian Tresser’s iconic Air Max 97 as its blueprint. Joining a few other ‘Futura’ models such as the Air Max 90, this latest spin keeps most of the Air Max 97’s classic DNA intact but undergoes a beefed-up transformation compared to its original counterpart. The Nike Air Max 97 Futura showcases a layered aesthetic by combining mesh, leather, and suede. Its Olive Green base is elevated with mini embroidered Swooshes on the sides, resting on a white midsole and semi-translucent outsole. The updated design features wavy overlays that add a playful touch, along with layered mudguards, eyestay guards, dual pull tabs and a signature full-length Air Max sole unit. The colour scheme is a perfect blend of earthy tones and vibrant accents to make the transition from springtime to summer, so hopefully they’ll be rolling out sooner rather than later…
