If we consider Nike’s Kiss My Airs collection to be a display of the greatest Air Max releases, then Sergio Lozano’s Air Max 95 has to be a contender for the first place podium. The back story behind the unique design has been well communicated over the years: the banded sidewalls were inspired by geology and erosion of the landscape, whilst other elements take cues from muscle fibres and human vertebrae. To minimise the impact of dirt and dust, Lozano applied a grey gradient across the entire upper section, disrupted by the vibrant Volt accents on the lace loops, Airbag and minimised Swoosh identity.

For this Nike Members-exclusive drop, the original 95 colourway has been reworked for a modern touch, making an iconic moment in Air Max history just as relevant today as it was back in 1995. The upper’s top panel and toe bumper utilise the same debossed Safari print as seen on the other members of the pack, adding a new level of depth, whilst the custom ‘Kiss My Airs’ tag on the outer panel punctuates the design in superlative style.
