After a decade-long hiatus, the Jewel has undergone somewhat of a renaissance this year, cropping over in the past few months over some of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes: the Air Force 1, Air Max 1, and Cortez.

Returning again this month, the brand dish up a straight up iteration of the Air Max originator, fusing a simple black and white palette with a premium edge to continue the shoe’s fruitful run of clean and considered models.

Working with a premium white leather base, the black pearlescent Jewel Swoosh adds a pretty contrast, with black branding hits on the tongue and embroidered to the back heel. A black overlay sits just above the midsole, before giving way to a clean white midsole which houses the shoe’s trademark visible air unit. The final cherry on this cake comes in the form of a translucent black tinted outsole, which adds a subtle underline to a somewhat desirable shoe.
