The New Balance x Offspring Fantom Fit & Folk Edition Revisits The Original NB Collaboration

The NEW BALANCE x OFFSPRING FANTOM FIT & FOLK EDITION collaboration takes two NB models and gives them a special makeover worthy of the #Offspring20 tag.

Twenty years ago, Offspring was the first sneaker store to grace the cobbled streets of Covent Garden. In celebration of this anniversary, they’ve worked on a series of exclusive collaborations with leading brands who helped to build Offspring since its opening in 1996. Each month, a limited edition collaboration has given a subtle fashion-forward nod to its original birthplace from the sole up. For this latest installment, Offspring have looked back to their original collaboration with our friends at New Balance.

The 1500 FANTOM FIT applies the lenses of the past collaboration to this new updated silhouette. The 1500 here has been made lighter by stripping away the upper overlays and adding fused panels, featuring modern technology to enhance the fit, giving a shape that feels close to the original model. The original animal print from the original 577 features again, this time more prominently. The end result is a sleek, updated execution of a cult classic.

The 576 FOLK EDITION utilises an autumnal colour palette to envoke images of a more environmentally conscious Neal Street of the past. The use of premium chestnut suede uppers and Vachetta leather collars harks back to this earthy vibe, whilst the vibrant flashes of colour on the shoe are a nod to teh vibrancy of the area.
