New Balance 1500 Re-engineered Pack – A First Look

The NEW BALANCE 1500 RE-ENGINEERED PACK sees the iconic runner given a more modern and up-to-date transformation.

The overlays across most of the upper are removed in order to create a more streamlined look and are replaced with a fused FANTOM FIT upper. To make sure there’s an air of familiarity, the upper is given the effect of panels across the toe and mid-foot, whilst the heel panel, with its 1500 branding, is finished in suede. For the first pack, there’s a choice of three colourways – Black/Red, Navy/Grey and Grey/Wintergreen – with each of them rounded off with brown leather on the tongue and lining. The colour on the uppers continues on to the midsole for a bold look, with the outsoles finishing things off in light grey. Modernising iconic silhouettes can be hit-and-miss, but this is one update we can definitely get on board with.
