If you thought the Samba fever had peaked, think again. adidas is proving that this silhouette still has some tricks up its sleeve, or, more accurately, its heel… As we gear up for Summer 2026, the Three Stripes has decided to chop the back off their most iconic silhouette, giving us the adidas Samba Mule.
And honestly? This might be the seasonal engineering we didn’t know we needed.

Let’s be real: the adidas Samba has been everywhere over the past years, from the terraces across the streets to the runways. But as the heat rises, even the most hardcore terrace heads need a bit of breathing room. Enter the Mule. By ditching the heel counter, adidas has transformed the terrace staple into the ultimate slip-on for those high-heat days where laces feel like too much commitment.
We’re looking at 4 colourways that aren’t just lazy cut-outs; they’re a proper material masterclass.
First up, a ‘Crew White’ colorway with some extra highlights on the design. We see a light gum sole and otherwise the familiar shape of the model, of course, just without a heel! A special Samba gold branding now appears in script rather than its usual sans-serif font. Together with the material mix of suede and woven leather, this leads to an almost luxury vibe.

Next in line: the ‘Off White/Preloved Brown’ and ‘Beige’ iterations are practically begging for a beach club. They’ve swapped out the usual heavy leather for a breezy mesh base, keeping things light and airy while retaining that signature structural integrity with leather T-toe overlays.

Then there’s the ‘Navy’ pair, which takes a slightly more ‘workwear’ approach. It trades the mesh for a more technical build: suede on the toe, leather side panels, and a knit weave executing the stripes.

The verdict? Summer ’26 is looking very comfortable indeed. Alongside other low-profile silhouettes, loafers, slides, and those ballet-sneaker hybrids, the Samba Mule fits right in as a top-tier contender for the Summer 2026 sneaker trends.
No official release info just yet, but expect these to drop via adidas and select retailers just in time for the summer sun. Just keep an eye on our release calendar and you won’t miss this drop!
