After a decade of delivering streamlined luxury apparel, American label Fear of God enters new territories with the release of Fear of God Athletics.
Founded by creative Jerry Lorenzo in 2013, the brand has established itself as a vessel for timeless garments, describing itself as a ‘distinct interpretation of the American expression’. In 2018, Lorenzo launched the sub-label ‘ESSENTIALS’ – met to significant popularity from fashion connoisseurs and casual wearers alike. Now, moving swiftly into the sportswear realm with the help of adidas’ engineering technology, Fear of God Athletics aims to “extend the preexisting spirit and foundation” of the label through an entirely new offering.
Beautifully expressed within photography captured by artist Nadav Kandler, the campaign takes place in a vast outdoor landscape, with subtle biblical references throughout. Additionally, the campaign video pans to three mountains, alluding to the Three Stripes’ iconography. Although specific details of the apparel line currently remain undisclosed, photos of the collection showcases a medley of timeless essentials. From zip-ups and sleeveless tops to jackets and an array of performance crewnecks, we’re sure that this line will go down a treat with both sportswear and fashion aficionados.
